May 29, 2026, Today, exactly two months from the day he hosted a townhall event at the JR Martin Community Center in Biddeford, Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Nirav Shah, released his list of executive orders that if elected, he "will sign on day one as governor".
Some readers may recall a similar piece we published back on February 20, 2026 sharing Shah's plan to "Safeguard Maine From Trump".

When announcing the list of orders Shah stated, "Mainers are looking for leadership that is ready to act with urgency, focus, and purpose. These orders are about moving immediately to lower costs, protect rights, strengthen communities, and make state government work better for the people it serves."
According to Dr. Shah's campaign, if elected, the executive orders enacted on day one, by then Governor Shah, will be:
• AN ORDER ESTABLISHING EMERGENCY MOBILIZATION ON HOUSING
• AN ORDER TO ADDRESS AND STABILIZE THE RURAL HEALTH CARE EMERGENCY
• AN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE RESPONSE AND PROTECTION MAINE FEDERAL THREAT TEAM
• AN ORDERT TO SAFEGUARD REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE AND PATIENT PRIVACY IN MAINE
• AN ORDER TO MODERNIZE MAINE'S GRID AND LOWER ENERGY COSTS
• AN ORDER TO ESTABLISH GOVERNMENT-TO-GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION AND PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WABANAKI NATIONS
