The goal of The Biddeford Buzz is to amplify YOUR voice, share YOUR stories, and build a stronger, more connected city. 
 
Since day one, the Buzz has been 100% community-driven and created through the work of volunteers.
 
The mission is to provide a news source that serves as a traditional local outlet offering both original and shared content, but also as a platform for community members to stay informed, share their stories, spark meaningful conversations, and engage with one another.

Our aim is to help build a stronger, more connected city for all; a Local news FOR YOU, BY YOU approach.

Initially, the Buzz was launched through Facebook with the goal of quickly developing our own platform. In the short time of 3 months, the Biddeford Buzz website was launched. In addition to the website and Facebook, Biddeford Buzz is also active on Tik Tok, Instagram, and  X.’ We are growing fast. As one reader put it, the Biddeford Buzz is becoming “the single largest news source in Maine's youngest and fastest growing city.”

In scrolling through the Buzz’s website, you will notice features including news articles organized by category, pages dedicated to local government & community events, links to City websites, reader subscription capability, and much more. In addition, the website has been formatted individually for desktop, tablet, and mobile to ensure ease of use for all, regardless of device; accessibility for community members is a top priority.
