📰BIDDEFORD | Man Allegedly Bitten in Face By Dog | Seeds of Hope | Animal Control Called

February 27, 2026, According to reports, a man was allegedly bit in the face by a dog earlier today inside Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center.


Multiple witnesses allege an individual, (who we will refer to as male #1) who frequents SOH, entered the building and appeared "high on drugs".


Witnesses allege once inside, male #1 then approached another individual (male #2) who had a dog.



Witnesses also expressed that like male #1, male #2 and his dog, are also frequent visitors at the center.


According to individuals present, once infront of male #2 and his dog, male #1 "got in the dogs face" and proceeded to make loud noises and "invade the dogs space".


Multiple individuals allege that both the dog owner and others asked male #1 to "get out of the dogs face" and "leave the dog alone."


According to witnesses, male #1 did not remove himself when asked, and it was at this point the dog reacted and allegedly bit male #1 in the face.


Following the incident, Biddeford Police, Animal control, and EMS were called to the scene.


When officers arrived, A man was seen holding his face with paper towels in the middle of the street.



The dog was taken from the owner following the incident and was seen being escorted by animal control and Biddeford PD to their vehicles.


We are unaware at this time if the male was treated by EMS on the scene and or brought to the hospital.


We are currently unaware what the outcome for the dog involved will be.
