🚧TRAFFIC ALERT - HILL STREET

From the City of Biddeford Government: At their July 29 meeting, the City of Biddeford’s Traffic Committee supported a recommendation to the City Council to prohibit parking on both sides of Hill Street between West Street and Birch Street. This parking change is under consideration so that Hill Street will have room for bike lanes on both sides of the street once the current construction work is complete. The proposed bike lanes will each be 4 feet wide and the vehicle travel lanes will be about 11 feet wide. The existing pavement width on Hill Street ranges from 28 feet to 34 feet.

The City Council will consider the first reading of this motion on Tuesday, August 19 at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers (205 Main Street). Public comment on this item will be welcome.
