March 5, 2026, According to the Old Orchard Beach Police Department, at approximately 12:49 AM, Old Orchard Beach Police Officers conducting proactive traffic enforcement initiated a motor vehicle stop. Officers identified the vehicle operator as Joshua A. Poissant, 38, of Arundel, Maine.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Poissant was currently on two sets of bail conditions. Officers requested that a K-9 respond to the location to conduct a drug sniff of the vehicle.

Old Orchard Beach Police K-9 Lobo responded to the traffic stop and conducted the sniff, resulting in a positive alert on the vehicle. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located approximately 32.1 grams of suspected crack cocaine and $16,074.01 in U.S. currency.
Poissant was charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drug (CLASS A) and two counts of Violating Conditions of Release (CLASS E),
Poissant is currently being held at the York County Jail without bail.
