From the folks at the City of Biddeford Government and Biddeford Recreation, This week’s cooler temperatures are a reminder that the final days of summer are approaching. As we wrap up the 2025 beach season, please keep the following important dates in mind:

Beach permits will continue to be required for parking in the public beach parking areas between 8 AM and 5 PM through Labor Day.

Lifeguard coverage will begin to taper off starting on August 22, with many staff members returning to school. Patrons should look for the lifeguard stand sign to see if there is a guard on duty during their visit. The Biddeford Recreation website will also share updates when there are no lifeguards on duty. Rotary Park's last day of lifeguard coverage will be August 23.

The Rotary Park Beach bathhouse will be open daily through Labor Day. Port-a-Potties at Fortunes Rocks Beach will be available through September 15. The bathhouse at Gilbert Boucher Park will continue to be open daily from 8 AM – 8 PM through October 13.

Dogs are prohibited at Fortunes Rocks, Middle Beach and Biddeford Pool between 9 AM and 5 PM through September 15. Dogs may not use any part of the Rotary Park beach between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from May 25 to September 15 of each year.
