📰BIDDEFORD | Teachers Association Endorses 2 Mayoral Candidates?

UPDATE 9:05 PM 10/29/25: The Biddeford Buzz has received a copy of the letter sent to both mayoral candidates from Allison Pickering, Vice President, Biddeford Teachers Association and Chair, Biddeford Teachers Association Screening and Endorsement Committee that stated "after great consideration, the committee has decided to make a dual endorsement in the mayoral race, recommending both you and Liam LaFountain to our members as preferred candidates."

October 29, 2025, In a move that has confused many residents and onlookers, the Biddeford Teachers Association has endorsed 2 different individuals vying to become Biddeford's next Mayor.

Earlier today, both Candidates Martin Grohman and Liam LaFountain shared posts on social media announcing their endorsements from the association.

When asked by the Biddeford Buzz "if both you and Liam were endorsed by the Biddeford Teachers Association", Mayor Grohman responded, "yes".

It is unusual to see an organization endorse two individuals running for the same position.
