📰 YORK COUNTY JAIL - WOMAN IS BAILED OUT, WALKS OUTSIDE, THEN PROCEEDS TO BREAK INTO CARS IN JAIL PARKING LO

According to a release from the York County Sheriff's Office, Earlier today (9/17/25) at approximately 1:30 pm:

"Lisa Adames (49 years old, transient) was bailed out of the York County Jail from a previous arrest on a warrant.

Adames left the jail release door and meandered around the parking lot for a while, capturing the suspicions of the front office administrative staff. Sure enough, Adames started breaking into cars in the parking lot. She stole cigarettes out of one vehicle and jewelry out of a correctional officer's car.


The admin staff alerted Chief Deputy Jeremy Forbes who sprang into action! He ran out to confront Adames and she fled but was soon captured by Forbes. She would not submit to her arrest and was actively resisting when Forbes was soon assisted by Detective Steven Broy in taking Adames into custody Adames was returned to the jail.


Adames was charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle ( a felony based on prior theft convictions) and Refusal to Submit to Arrest or Detention. She was denied bail. ADAMES will make her first court appearance on Friday, September 19th at 1:00 pm. at the York Judicial Center in Biddeford."
