MEDIA RELEASE Biddeford Police Department
The Biddeford Police Department arrested the below individual on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 8:47 PM on an outstanding warrant(s) of arrest. The arrest was made in the area of 14 Elm Street in Biddeford.
Emil Girard

26 years of age
Transient
Biddeford
Charged with: Maine Probation Revocation
New Hampshire Parole violation
Biddeford warrant: Elevated Aggravated Assault (Class A Felony)
Girard was transported to the York County Sheriff’s Department when he was unable to make the $50,000.00 cash bail.
The Biddeford charges stem from two separate shooting incidents, July 31, 2025, and August 4, 2025. Both incidents occurred on Pearl Street in Biddeford. The July 31, 2025 victim is a 46-year-old male who received medical treatment. The August 4, 2025 victim is a 21-year-old male who also received medical treatment.
Through investigation by our Criminal Investigation Division, evidence in both attacks linked Girard as the sole shooter.
We are unable to provide additional information about these cases, as both are active ongoing investigations. We anticipate additional charges will be forthcoming.
Given the situation and out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to cancel the city’s National Night Out which was scheduled for Tuesday, August 5th.
