As coastal Mainers, we have seen firsthand the devastating power that storms can have on our shores, from severe erosion along Saco’s beaches to flood damage across Old Orchard Beach. Protecting our coastline is not an abstract policy debate; it is an urgent necessity for our homes, businesses, and working waterfronts.

That’s why, with my background in environmental engineering, I'm proudly supporting former Speaker of the House Hannah Pingree for Governor.

Throughout her time as Director of the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future and co-chair of the Maine Climate Council, Hannah has been a tireless champion for Maine’s environment and coastal resilience. Under her leadership, the Community Resilience Partnership delivered direct grants and support to communities like ours. This program helps municipalities prepare for sea-level rise, protect working waterfronts, and upgrade local infrastructure. She knows that smart resilience investments save taxpayer dollars and ensure the sustainability of our natural resources-based economy.

Maine needs a leader with the vision, executive experience, and proven dedication to safeguard our coast and natural resources for the next generation. Hannah Pingree has delivered real results for our coastal communities, and she will be the governor our state needs to meet this moment.
