October 20, 2025, City of Biddeford and former City Manager reach settlement.
Pursuant to the terms of the settlement agreement, the statement below was negotiated and agreed upon.
The City and former City Manager Jim Bennett are pleased to announce that they have come to a mutual resolution of their dispute over Bennett’s separation from the City, allowing both sides to move forward. The litigation was a contract dispute and did not involve the performance of the former city manager.
A final release will need to be completed and signed, after which the settlement will become public.
