📰 BIDDEFORD & PORTLAND | Missing 13 Year Old Found

-UPDATE: CHARGE HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO KIDNAPPING-

OCTOBER 15, 2025, The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has concluded an extensive week-long investigation to locate 13-year-old Jadelynn Harlow, who had been reported missing from the Town of Pownal.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified an address at 470 Brighton Avenue, Portland, where the teen was believed to be staying. A search warrant was obtained and executed by CCSO Detectives and the Cumberland County Emergency Services Unit (ESU). During the execution of the

warrant, Jadelynn Harlow was safely located inside the apartment, along with 23-year-old Elijah Coleman and 21-year-old Shelby Cookson.

Elijah Coleman was already wanted for probation revocation on domestic violence related charges, and now faces several criminal charges in connection with this investigation. Coleman will be charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, Violation of a Protective Order, Criminal Restraint, Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Cookson was also interviewed as part of the ongoing case.
