📰BIDDEFORD | City Raises Pride Flag Recognizing June 2026 as Pride Month

June 1, 2026, Earlier today at 3:00PM, Biddeford officals and community members gathered in front of Biddeford City Hall for a ceremonial raising of the LGBTQ+ Flag in honor of Pride Month.
According to city officials, "June is Pride Month—a time to celebrate love, visibility, equality, and community."
City Staffer Danica Lamontagne explained, "When flags are displayed on the flagpole outside City Hall, it is by request of a resident or community group. Any events to raise the flags are coordinated and promoted by the person or group that put in the request."
Notably in attendance were Biddeford Mayor Liam LaFountain Senator Henry Ingwersen (District 32) , Representative Marc Malon (District 133) Councilor Abigail Woods (Ward 2), Councilor Jacob Pierson (Ward 6), and Councilor David Kurtz (Ward 5).
In addition, Executive Director Delilah Poupore of Heart of Biddeford was spotted among attendees.
