đź“°BIDDEFORD | ARREST | Woman Steals Ambulance from Biddeford Hospital

May 11, 2026, According to a release from The Biddeford Police Department, "On April 17, 2026, Biddeford Regional Communication Center (BRCC) received a telephone call from Northeast Ambulance reporting that one of its ambulances had just been stolen from the hospital in Biddeford. Northeast Ambulance had an active tracking device on the stolen ambulance and was able to provide live updates on the vehicle’s location.

After gathering all pertinent information, the caller was transferred to the Buxton Police Department dispatch center, as the stolen vehicle was traveling through the town of Buxton while Biddeford officers met with the complainant. Shortly thereafter, the Biddeford Police Department was advised that Buxton Police had located the stolen ambulance and conducted a traffic stop. Buxton officers swiftly detained the suspect and waited for Biddeford officers to arrive.

Officers identified the suspect as Crystal Zahn. Zahn was transported to the Biddeford Police Department for booking, and the ambulance was returned to its rightful owner.


Zahn was charged with:

Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer (Class B)

Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property (Class D)

Zahn was subsequently transported to the York County Jail, where she was remanded into custody."
