July 23, 2026, Earlier today at approximately 3:35 PM, Biddeford's Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a male that was struck by a maroon suv while riding a bicycle in the area of 299 Elm Street.
Upon arrival, EMS services found a 76 year old male on the ground in the middle of the crosswalk, at the intersection of Elm and Lamothe.
According to witnesses, the 76 year old male sustained obvious superficial injury to both the front of his face and head after being struck by a maroon suv.
The maroon SUV, which according to bystanders was operated by a male that appeared to be 50 to 60 years of age, remained on scene and spoke with authorities.
Witnesses described observing blood present on both the male who was struck and on the roadway, but did state the "76 year old male was coherent."
The 76 year old male left the scene in an ambulance to be further evaluated.
