April 6, 2026, The next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 6 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers and via Microsoft Teams.

At the meeting, there will be a Public Hearing on the City of Biddeford's City Government Budget as presented by the City Manager.
In addition, the 2nd Reading (which includes a vote) on the amended Household Waste Definition will occur. You can read our previous story about this here: https://www.biddefordbuzz.com/post/biddeford-city-considers-limiting-orange-trash-bags-per-pick-up
According to Mayor LaFountain, If approved, "...this proposal change would do two things: (1) A technical fix to clarify the definition of what qualifies as household waste for curbside pickup; the current language is too broad and has allowed non-routine items like clean-out debris and moving waste to be put out at the curb, increasing disposal costs. (2) A limit of two overflow bags (the orange bags) per week per residence, except during Thanksgiving and Christmas."
Copies of the complete proposed budget are available on the City's website for public inspection at https://www.biddefordmaine.org/fy27budget.
