📰BIDDEFORD | Mayor Endorses not 1... not 2... not 3... but 5 City Council Candidates

October 25, 2025, after endorsing two candidates yesterday, Current Mayor and Mayoral Candidate Martin Grohman has publicly announced endorsement of an additional 3 more... totaling 5 publicly announced endorsments for candidates running for Biddeford city council in the November 4th election.

Mayor Grohman has announced his endorsement for the following candidates:


Ward 1 - Jim LaBelle

Ward 2 - John McCurry

Ward 4 - Dylan Doughty

Ward 5 - David Kurtz (unopposed)

Ward 7 - Brad Cote


Notably absent from the above list is endorsements for Ward 3 Councilor Roger Beaupre who was the former chief of police, current Ward 3 councilor, and is running for reelection unopposed; Kurtz is also running unopposed, however, Mayor Grohman did publicly endorse him.


Also absent from the list of endorsments, is either of the candidates running to fill the council seat for Ward 6 (Roger Hubertise and Jacob Pierson).


Mayor Grohman has not announced any endorsements for the At-large city council race at this time.


The individuals who are running that WERE NOT ENDORSED by Martin Grohman are:


Ward 1 - Patricia Boston

Ward 2 - Abigail Woods

Ward 3 - Roger Beaubre

Ward 4 - Bobby Mills.

Ward 6 - Roger Hubertise and Jacob Pierson

Ward 7 - Sam Pecor
