June 23, 2026, According to the Biddeford Fire Department, "This afternoon shortly before 3:10pm the Biddeford Regional Communications Center received a 911 call for a building fire at Parkview Court Building #6 in Biddeford.

Biddeford Fire Department Car 7, Engine 22, Truck 32, and Engine 26 (call company) were dispatched on the Desk Box assignment, along with an Engine from Arundel, an Engine and Ambulance from Saco, and an Engine from Old Orchard Beach.

Biddeford Deputy Chief Kiesman (Car 3) arrived on-scene 4 minutes later and found an outside fire in the rear of the building that was extending up the outside of it and into the eves of the roof. Engine 22 arrived shortly after and quickly deployed a hose line through one of the apartments to protect the interior and began extinguishing the fire. Truck 32 arrived and raised ground ladders to the rear of the building in order to open up the eves and check for fire extension.

The fire was quickly contained, and the mutual aid units were returned to their communities.

When the 911 call for this building fire was received, a simultaneous 911 EMS call was received for Biddeford as well. The Biddeford Fire Department was already operating at two separate EMS incidents with BFD Ambulance units EMS 10 and EMS 14. This meant there were 4 simultaneous calls occurring in the City (3 EMS and 1 building fire). The BFD responded to the building fire with a total of 5 on-duty members staffing Engine 22, Truck 32 and Car 7, and the 3rd simultaneous EMS incident was handled by an Ambulance from Goodwins Mills Fire.

No Occupants were displaced by the fire, and the property management team was working cleaning up some water that got inside the building during the extinguishment of the fire. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The cause of the fire was investigated jointly by the Biddeford Fire Department, State Fire Marshals Office, and the State Forest Service Department Rangers. The fire was classified as accidental, improper outside burning. Crews cleared the scene around 4:40pm."
